<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Kamakura is one of the most popular day trips from Tokyo, attracting visitors with its beautiful coastline, historic temples, and relaxed atmosphere.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Many travelers ask us the same question before their tour begins:</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong><span data-fontSize="18px" style="font-size: 18px;" class="vk_inline-font-size">“Where are the best places to take photos in Kamakura?”</span></strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As local drivers who visit Kamakura throughout the year, we’ve helped thousands of travelers discover the area’s most photogenic locations.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Everyone has a different photography style, but these are the five places our drivers recommend most often because they consistently create unforgettable memories.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Whether you’re traveling with family, friends, or as a couple, these photo spots are worth adding to your itinerary.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-2-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-3350" srcset="https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-2-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-2.jpg 1536w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong><span data-fontSize="21px" style="font-size: 21px;" class="vk_inline-font-size">1.Kamakura High School Crossing (Slam Dunk Crossing)</span></strong></p>

<ol class="wp-block-list"></ol>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Without question, this is Kamakura’s most famous photo location.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Fans from around the world visit this railway crossing because it appeared in the opening scene of the legendary Japanese anime <strong>Slam Dunk.</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">When the Enoden train passes with the ocean in the background, it’s easy to see why this has become one of Japan’s most iconic photography spots.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">However, it’s also one of the busiest locations in Kamakura.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Since the crossing is part of an active public road, we always encourage our guests to stay outside the roadway and follow local safety rules while taking photos.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The best pictures are the ones you can enjoy safely.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-3-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-3351" srcset="https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-3-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-3-300x200.jpg 300w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-3-768x512.jpg 768w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-3.jpg 1536w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong><span data-fontSize="21px" style="font-size: 21px;" class="vk_inline-font-size">2.Shichirigahama Beach</span></strong></p>

<ol start="2" class="wp-block-list"></ol>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you’re looking for wide-open ocean views, Shichirigahama is one of the most beautiful beaches in Kamakura.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The long sandy shoreline, gentle waves, and distant views of Enoshima create the perfect setting for relaxed travel photography.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Many visitors enjoy walking along the beach instead of posing, creating natural lifestyle photos that capture the feeling of being on vacation.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Late afternoon is especially beautiful, as the warm sunlight gives the ocean and sky a soft golden color.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It’s also one of our favorite places to stop for a short break before continuing the tour.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-4-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-3352" srcset="https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-4-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-4-300x200.jpg 300w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-4-768x512.jpg 768w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-4.jpg 1536w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong><span data-fontSize="21px" style="font-size: 21px;" class="vk_inline-font-size">3.Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine</span></strong></p>

<ol start="3" class="wp-block-list"></ol>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">No visit to Kamakura is complete without seeing T<strong>surugaoka Hachimangu Shrine.</strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The long approach to the shrine is lined with beautiful trees that change with every season.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Cherry blossoms in spring, lush green leaves in summer, colorful maple trees in autumn, and peaceful winter scenery each create completely different photographs.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Besides taking pictures, visitors also enjoy experiencing traditional Japanese culture while walking through one of Kamakura’s most important historical landmarks.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-5-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-3353" srcset="https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-5-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-5-300x200.jpg 300w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-5-768x512.jpg 768w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-5.jpg 1536w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong><span data-fontSize="21px" style="font-size: 21px;" class="vk_inline-font-size">4.Hasedera Temple</span></strong></p>

<ol start="4" class="wp-block-list"></ol>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Hasedera Temple is one of Kamakura’s most beautiful and peaceful places to visit.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Known for its colorful seasonal flowers, traditional architecture, and panoramic views, it offers countless opportunities for memorable photographs throughout the year.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Spring hydrangeas, fresh summer greenery, autumn leaves, and quiet winter scenery each create a different atmosphere, making every visit unique.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Many travelers tell us that Hasedera feels less crowded than other popular attractions, allowing them to enjoy both sightseeing and photography at a slower pace.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-6-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-3354" srcset="https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-6-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-6-300x200.jpg 300w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-6-768x512.jpg 768w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-6.jpg 1536w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong><span data-fontSize="21px" style="font-size: 21px;" class="vk_inline-font-size">5.Enoshima View Cafés</span></strong></p>

<ol start="5" class="wp-block-list"></ol>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If you’re looking for a relaxing place to finish your Kamakura day trip, the cafés near the top of Enoshima are an excellent choice.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Several cafés offer breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, making them perfect for enjoying a coffee while taking in the scenery.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On clear days, the blue ocean stretches to the horizon, creating one of the most beautiful backgrounds for travel photos.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Many visitors spend an hour here simply relaxing after a full day of sightseeing before returning to Tokyo.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-7-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-3355" srcset="https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-7-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-7-300x200.jpg 300w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-7-768x512.jpg 768w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-7.jpg 1536w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong><span data-fontSize="21px" style="font-size: 21px;" class="vk_inline-font-size">Local Driver’s Photography Tips</span></strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After guiding countless Kamakura tours, our drivers have found that timing often matters more than the location itself.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Here are a few simple tips that can help you capture even better photos.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Visit the Slam Dunk Crossing early in the morning to avoid the biggest crowds.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Walk along Shichirigahama during the late afternoon for softer sunlight and richer colors.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Take your time at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu and Hasedera, where the gardens and traditional architecture offer beautiful photo opportunities in every season.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2714.png" alt="✔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> Finish your day at an Enoshima café to enjoy the sunset and ocean views before heading back to Tokyo.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">These small adjustments can make a big difference in your travel photos.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-8-1024x683.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-3356" srcset="https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-8-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-8-300x200.jpg 300w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-8-768x512.jpg 768w, https://kt-hire.co.jp/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/260729-8.jpg 1536w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><strong><span data-fontSize="21px" style="font-size: 21px;" class="vk_inline-font-size">Final Thoughts</span></strong></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Kamakura is much more than a collection of famous tourist attractions.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It’s a destination where you can slow down, walk through historic streets, enjoy delicious local food, and create lasting memories with beautiful photographs.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Whether you’re visiting for the ocean, temples, gardens, or cafés, every corner of Kamakura offers something worth capturing.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"></p>
